I Punch Life In The Face

I've been reluctant to blog about some things in my life because I know certain people are reading.

But today, I sat around really bored and thought about people, feelings, and my life.
This is what I have to say:

This is my life.
I have a voice.
This is one of the places I choose to use my voice.
If you're reading, you're reading voluntarily.
You don't have to agree with everything I write, but please be respectful and mature when discussing your point of view.

People shouldn't have to suppress their thoughts, feelings, opinions, or beliefs simply because others do not agree or give them a hard time about it (unless of course it's potentially life threatening to themselves or others.. that should be dealt with accordingly).

This is a place where voices can be heard.
Stories are meant to be told. Opinions are allowed to be voiced. Feelings are better when shared. It's important to be able to do that whether privately in a journal or publicly online.

I think I'm just tired of the drama that follows a simple post.
I don't really care anymore though. I'm going to express myself freely.
If you have something to say, say it to my face first.
If you can't handle it, stop reading.

Two Is Better Than One

One, two, three, four.
My heart melts.
My breath is taken away.

Because I Can

New song on the playlist.
I like it a lot :)

I've attempted to blog like three times today, but every time I start I stop.
Something is not sitting right with me and I'm not sure what it is. There's a battle going on inside and I keep trying to ignore it, but it's starting to tear me apart.
I need to get through this final.. Then I can deal with whatever my heart is trying to tell me.

On another note, I found a home video from 1992 today. Good old memories.. God I had so much baby fat :P I'm kind of sad that in about a week and a half, my family won't be together again until Thanksgiving. I'm thankful that I got to spend a lot of time with them this summer. I love being able to talk and laugh with both my siblings and parents.. mainly because no matter what I say (and I say a lot of weird stuff) they still love me at the end of the day.
It's good to know that when other things in life are bringing me down, I can always go to one of them for a good laugh or to just vent.. even if they aren't listening :P
It's even better when we're all together just laughing and hanging out, not because anyone commands it, just because we want to. Those are some of my favorite moments in life.

So I guess this post is for my family :)

Samson & Delilah

CURRENTLY LISTENING TO:

I am depressed. It's actually pretty unhealthy to be this depressed over a TV show, but damn you FOX for canceling one of my favorite shows. Old news, but my hate for FOX just resurfaced.

GAH. I'll blog about real life another day :P

Breakin'

CURRENTLY LISTENING TO:

Wow.. I had no idea that teaching could be so rewarding. It's definitely one of the better additions to my life. I guess I should explain since I haven't blogged for awhile :)

I recently got a job as a marching/flute/drum major instructor over at Ross Middle School. At first I was nervous because, quite honestly, in all the four years of marching band I was never really much of a leader. I was "Parade Drum Major," but in a band where field was the primary focus.. I was like Queen of England of the band.. Just a figure head with a title :P Not saying field wasn't fun though because it was tons of fun, but I didn't really have much experience in this area of expertise.
Anyways, the first week was a little rough, but this last week was great. These kids are starting to grown on me. They're so enthusiastic about what they're doing. And the best part is that at this age, they're not snobby teenagers.. they actually listen to you :P
It's just really nice to see some innocence in the world and how many different kinds of people and personalities can exist in one group. Really refreshing for me to see that there's hope for our youth's future. I'm afraid I'm getting attached to these kids and it's going to suck when they go off to high school. I'm really enjoying working there though :)

In other news, I should start packing for the 19th. I'm excited to move in and start school again. I have a feeling this year is going to be filled with some great new memories and I can't wait to start a new chapter in my life.

I've made quite a few important choices this first half of the year and I'm glad I'm where I am right now despite the consequences. You can't learn much if you don't fall flat on your face once in a while in your lifetime. How else will you learn what's good for you and what's not? There are no regrets no matter how hurt I felt. I apologize to those I've hurt, but I hope they've learned from those experiences as much as I have.

By the way, I think everyone should get ooVoo. It's super fun :)
